I had a chance to visit with veteran, T.V. hostess, Moira Brown, on her live show in Toronto earlier this week. It was a wonderful experience. I was able to talk about the impact of fatherless and God’s desire to be our Heaven Father. I admitted my pursuit of perfection that was rooted in my bitterness toward my father.

My response to my wounded soul was my decision to become a model citizen and “perfect” person, which put me into high gear in performance mode. Sigh. I tried this perfection thing with God as well— He wasn’t very impressed.

God embraced me in the midst of my rejection and anger. He showed me what a father’s love was supposed to feel like. He made me whole—and free. He is truly my Heavenly Father!!
